Tone Generator plays a continuous audio tone at any frequency from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz — roughly the full range of human hearing — using your browser's Web Audio API. It's handy for testing speakers or headphones for dead channels or frequency response issues, checking your own hearing range, tuning instruments against a reference pitch (440 Hz is the standard concert-pitch A), or generating a specific test signal for audio equipment. Choose a waveform — sine for a pure, smooth tone, or square/sawtooth/triangle for a brighter, more buzzy timbre — and adjust volume before playing.
