Video to MP3 Converter
Pull the audio track out of a video file and save it as an MP3. Everything happens locally in your browser — the video is never uploaded anywhere.
About this tool
Video to MP3 Converter extracts the audio track from a video file and encodes it as an MP3, entirely on-device using the browser's Web Audio API to decode the track and a JavaScript MP3 encoder to produce the final file — nothing is uploaded to a server. Drop in a video, pick an output bitrate, and download the resulting MP3 once conversion finishes.
Format support: works with whatever video/audio codecs your browser itself can already decode — MP4 (AAC audio) and WebM (Opus/Vorbis audio) are reliably supported in Chrome, Edge, and most modern browsers. If a file fails to convert, try re-exporting it in a more common format, or open it in a different browser. Bitrate: 192 kbps is a good default for spoken word and most music; use 320 kbps for the highest quality, or 128 kbps for the smallest file size.
