MAC Address Generator
Generate one or more random MAC addresses, with control over separator, case, and the locally-administered/multicast bits.
About this tool
A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a 48-bit identifier burned into network hardware — every network card, Wi-Fi chip, and Bluetooth radio has one. This generates random, properly-formatted MAC addresses for testing, simulating network equipment, or filling in sample/demo data.
Locally administered sets a bit in the address that marks it as manually assigned rather than allocated by a hardware vendor — the correct choice for made-up addresses, since it avoids colliding with a real vendor's OUI range. Multicast sets a different bit marking the address as a group/multicast destination rather than a single device — most everyday device addresses are unicast (this box unchecked).
